Most traditional dry cleaning systems and most of the
other dry cleaners here locally clean clothes in
a chlorinated solvent called perchloroethylene, which is known
to the State of California to cause cancer!
Perchloroethylene is an air pollutant
and a highly toxic
groundwater contaminate and must be disposed
of as hazardous waste.
However, our gentle dry cleaning fluid does not cause
cancer, and is gentle on your clothes. You don't have to
remove the plastic and hang your clothes in the garage to
air them out before wearing them as is recommended for
clothes cleaned in perchloroethylene. The Chardonnay Cleaners process is by far more
environmentally friendly. The result? The Chardonnay
Cleaners cleaning
system is not only friendly to clothes and to people, it’s
ecologically responsible, too. In addition we recycle many
items. Our cleaning machine continuously recycles the dry
cleaning fluid. Our dry cleaning fluid is recovered in all
phases of the cleaning process and then it is constantly
filtered and distilled to remove any impurities. Also we
recycle many other items as well such as hangers, cardboard,
paper, metal, and plastic items , and more. |
